On our way to Perth Airport to catch our flight home...

R: Daddy, slow down. Why are you driving so fast?
M: If we get to the airport late, we will miss our flight. The aeroplane will not wait for us.
R: It's ok. We can build our own plane.
M: Huh??? We don't know how to build a plane.
R: Can!! Just follow the instructions!
M: Instructions???
R: (thinking for a while) But maybe we need bigger blocks.

Recently Raphael has been bugging me for a pet and this was one of our conversations:

R: Mummy? Can you please buy me a pet?
M: What do you want as a pet?
R: Can I please have a pet squid?
M: What?? Squid?!?!!
R: Yes... Can you also get a cage and put a pond in there for my squid to swim? Also I want a swing and a slide so that my squid can play and exercise.
M: Errrr...
R: Please, Mummy, pleaseeee???

First camp

Our first overnight outdoor camp last week, out in our front lawn. The kiddos love the experience but I can't say much about the daddy. The heat got a bit too much for him. Will we do it again? 'Yes!' echoed the kids. 'Errr... Only if it rains', said the daddy!
