Praying for divine intervention

Sometimes they just want to go out to play, but at other times, it's a
snack directly AFTER dinner.

Poor Raphael

Poor little guy has rashes over his whole body. Boo hoo hoo!

Updates

Raphael - 6 months week 4

Weight - 7.6kg
Height - 66.6cm

I just started him on semi solids a week back. He didn't like it at all. I've tried rice cereal, mushy porridge and banana. He clamps his mouth shut, pushes my hands away and arches his back. If all that failed to stop me from trying again, he would cry. Maybe I should have started him as soon as he turned 6 months. Or maybe he is feeling some kind of discomfort. (He had a slight fever for a couple of days and rashes broke out all over his body soon after)

He drinks every 3-4 hourly. At night he's a lot better and can stretch up to 7 hours. :)

He is turning and flipping from back to front and vice versa with ease. He kicks so much that he turn himself 180degrees. No more leaving him on our bed unattended as he moves really fast. I can just look away for 5 seconds and he would have already turned himself over a few times, getting near to the edge of the bed.

He absolutely dislikes sleeping in the car seat or stroller. 15 minutes is just about all he can take. The longest ever was when we drove to Malaysia and he slept for about an hour. For that he had help - we played Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up" probably 50 times. That's his favourite song to fall asleep to. :)

He takes 2-3 naps a day, depending on the time he wakes up. When we're at home, his nap ranges from 1hr - 3hrs. Sad to say, he still has no fixed routine and it's all my fault. I am busy most of the time with other stuff around the home. There's Gabriel, Fred, cooking, laundry and cleaning.....

The challenge comes when we go out. He gets only power naps of max 15 minutes. And he would have to nap many times that day.

Raphael is truly a cool little baby. He's always ready to smile and is happy most of the time. He adores his GeGe Gabriel to bits. His face literally lights up when Gabriel starts talking or doing some funny moves to entertain him. Gabriel has his way to make him chuckle and laugh. Seeing the two of them laughing and having fun together is really heart-warming.

Its truly trying having 2 boys, but I hope it will be as fulfilling for them as it is for me. I really love them both to bits!

Now we know!

Now we know where Gabriel gets his funny faces from!

Poor Rafa doesn't know what's going on! But in 2 years time, he'll be joining the gang for sure!!

Looking back at 2009

(a long overdue post)

2009 has been an eventful year for us. I started work (part-time), Gabriel started Nursery, I got pregnant and given birth to another son, Raphael. We went through a whole series of emotional roller-coaster. Me with my hormones turned upside-down and Gabriel facing too many changes in his life. Not a very nice sight when we had our screaming matches. There were happy and joyful days but there were also days where the two of us were in tears. (I mean Gabe and myself)

Through all the the ups and downs that we've been through, I can only say that we've been graciously blessed and for that we are thankful.
