Update
Raphael at 13 months
He absolutely loves our food, I mean food we give him from our plates. I used to be able to feed him and eat my food at the same time. Not anymore as he would say "No" to his food and keep going "mum-mum" and pointing to my food at the same time. I think he looks forward to finishing his so that he can have some of mine. So far, he has tried almost everything I have on my plate, except if it's spicy and shellfish. He loves his fruits and will cry if he has finished it cos he wants more.
Weight: 8.8kg
My baby is a little sociable guy. He is always smiling and he loves interacting with people especially strangers. He'll be holding out his hand to them, waving and flashing his pearlies. There were times where he actually reached out to be carried by people he met for just 5 minutes.
He's talking a lot now, in his baby language. He can imitate actions and repeats what we say quite well. Whenever you ask him to repeat a word, he can do it quite accurately. Some words which he has mastered saying and knows are - ball, up, moon (oon), nose (ose), baby (ba-be), gong-gong (kheng-kheng), Amen (See here)(he pronounce this so accurately, does it with his hands clasped together and head lowered!) armpit (ah-pe) , bird (bed), open (ah-pen), mama, mum-mum, balloon (ba-yoon)...
He takes 1 or 2 naps during the day, depending on the time he wakes up and what we are doing on that day. He can stay awake for up to 7 hours if he's entertained and kept busy. He still doesn't sleep very long in the car seat nor the stroller. The longest was about 1.5 hours, the least, still about 15 minutes. Like his brother, he's not a very good sleeper. It is our fault for not training him enough to soothe himself back to sleep when he wakes up. He used to be able to do that when he was younger. Somehow he just lost that skill, I'm not too sure how or when. Now, he needs to be nursed. His sleeping habit is becoming a headache now, especially on days when he wakes up a few times throughout the night and could only be calmed down if I nurse him back to sleep.
At 13 months, he is finally walking and loving it. He is still not too steady and that explains the bruises he has on his face.
We've also just found out that he loves to be in the water (though sometimes not the bath!) and would play and entertain himself whilst in the water.
